Beltane Drum Birthing Workshop, Dundee 03/05/25 - Fire Drums
Join us for a powerful day of creation as we honour Beltane, the Celtic fire festival, by birthing our own medicine drums. In this workshop, we’ll be working with the element of fire to craft ‘fire drums’ dyed with natural henna, calling in the energies of transformation, vitality, and inspired action.
You’ll be guided through every step of the process in a grounded, ceremonial space — from guided journeys with Mama Cacao to connect with the materials, to dyeing with intention, to assembling your own drum by hand. We’ll celebrate the turning of the Celtic Wheel, connect with the spirits of the land, and awaken your drum as a living, breathing ally for your spiritual practice.
Whether you’re new to drum making or returning for another sacred build, this is a chance to kindle your inner flame and emerge with a drum that holds the essence of Beltane.
This workshop is co-facilitated by experienced drum maker Alistair McPherson-Brown of Star Onyx, and Celtic Wise Woman Rhonda Spence — both Advanced Shamanic Practitioners.

All materials to birth your drum: natural hide, wooden hoop, plant dye ingredients, and a selection of crystals to choose from for your handle
